collection projects

Hey guys, im back with some of my personal collection projects. Here is a 8" Groot I got from china. This figure I got I already knew was a terrible figure because a friend of mine got one from china as well. When I received it the pins were not all the way through and all articulation was loose. The paint job was lacking any detail but the base sculpt was decent.

I cut 1.5" inches off legs to adjust for marvel universe 3.75". I also added "green stuff" to joint pins, to tighten up articulation.

Here I drilled some holes and inserted stiff twist ties that come with packaged figures. I wanted to create a branch look for Rocket to mount to.

Groot is a great character so I wanted to give him a lifelike look. I added a bark look and texture, also moss & green vines and highlights.

I AM GROOT!!

This is the Blob figure from Wolverine origins 2 pack with Blob and Sabretooth. The
Blob is a very rare character figure that has never been made with much articulation. I took this opportunity to Frankenstein this figure.

Once I took him apart, I found dragon ball z fodder to fit the desired size.

This is the anchor I made to hold legs inside. I also started the sculpt on the legs

Here is a new paint job with wash and paint rub  free!!

The Blob!!
The immoveable object!!
He now has full leg articulation.

You'll never guess what these baby doll heads are for......
Sometimes the craziest ideas work the best, comeback to find out whats next.
thanks, see you guys soon
