Hey people, its been a busy month, but
im back with the fruits of my labor!!!
Much apologies for no posts, ive had so many orders and projects there hasn't been much time to squeeze in the technical stuff. Im a one man army so I spend most of my time on the battle field ( the work bench). lol Hope everyone saw Age of Ultron, it was awesome! I took my nephews the second time I went. The boys love to come to the shop to check out my projects.
Also finished up Daredevil on Netflix, that series gets 2 thumbs up, was way better than expected.
When I started customizing I wanted to do figures that toy companies don't make. There's always a character you love that just isn't made. Most of the time if it is made it sucks and has barley any articulation.
Buckle up, here we go!!
There was customer who wanted a 3.75" Daken and Romulus from the marvel universe.
Both of these characters are related to the Wolverine character.
I used a Kraven body for Daken and a Hercules upper and Omega Red lower for Romulus.
Here I sculpted the armor for the knee and inserted tooth picks for spikes.
Heres a quick head sculpt for the hair and facial hair. One big key to customizing is using the parts that get the closest desired result with the least work, depending on the artist and concept.
Both of these guys had a bit of challenging things going on. Dakens tattoo is sick!! Especially for 3.75" figures. Romulus however has body hair that I wanted to make look as real as possible with out getting too crazy.
I used tooth picks for Daken to give his claws a bone look and clear twist ties for Romulus
Here they are, I liked them so much a did a set for my collection as well.
